WHAT THE DAY OWES THE NIGHT

This ballet is about a mixture of styles, about war, about peace regained, and about encounters which owe everything to journeys: a journey to Algeria, when Hervé Koubi visited his native land in 2010, a journey with young male self-taught dancers, whom he met there and who followed him, a journey between West and East recounted by the ballet, the journey from hip-hop which the performers have mastered and the classical style in which the choreographer was trained, a journey between the movements, music and poetry of the two continents.
