Admission & Short courses

Access to education at the Princess Grace Academy is only possible after selection by application and audition. Two possibilities for auditions: short course-audition or private audition.
 

SHORT COURSE-AUDITION

The courses are accessible after selection. The registration request will be filled online with all requested documentation (cf. Supporting documentation in the footer). The applicants may request to be auditioned during these courses. Possibility to follow one or more sessions. 

Note: students who already participate in a short course in Academy Princess Grace and students who already registered for a short course, thank you for updating your file. Applications with missing or non-compliant documentation will be considered after all the other applications and won't be examined if the applicant don't send or correct the missing documentation/information. Use a computer rather than a mobile phone or tablet.

►WINTER COURSES:
For students between 11 and 16 years old. Possible audition for season 2026-2027 (only for students aged 13 to 17, born between 2013 and 2010).

From Monday February, 16th to Saturday February, 21st 2026
From Monday February, 23rd to Saturday February, 28th 2026

Duration: 1 week
Curriculum: Classical, Contemporary, Pointe, Men's class, Physical training sessions. Music Class, French class for foreigners.
Price: 1000€ (classes + lunch)

Places in the boarding school are not available
Possibility to follow one or 2 weeks

►SUMMER COURSES: 
For students between 11 and 19 years old. Possible audition for season 2026-2027 (only for students aged 13 to 17, born between 2013 and 2009).

From Monday July, 6th to Saturday July, 11th 2026
From Monday July, 13th to Saturday July, 18th 2026
From Monday July, 20th to Saturday July, 25th 2025
From Monday July, 27th to Saturday August, 1st 2025

Places in the boarding school are available
Possibility to follow one or more weeks (if more weeks, for boarding student, the boarding school remains open in between the courses)
Arrival and registration on the Sunday afternoon before the course. Departure on the Saturday afternoon.

PRIVATE AUDITION

Private auditions are held at the Academy by invitation and after receipt of an e-mail application. They are organised over three days between January and March and depend on availability on the calendar (excluding periods where there are courses and preparation for examinations or shows). The material (see below "requirements and supporting documentation for selection") can be sent from December, 1st by e-mail to: apg@balletsdemontecarlo.com
Occasionally, public auditions can be organized abroad.
 

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION for a SHORT COURSE-AUDITION
and/or a PRIVATE AUDITION

To apply for a SHORT COURSE-AUDITION and/or a PRIVATE AUDITION, please prepare the documentation:
- your CV/Resume (to be completed online for the short-course audition)
- 1 ID photo and 2 dance outfit photos (poses arabesque and développé seconde)
- if private audition: the dates you are available
- a video link of a classical extract with following exercises (to adapt to student level):
  *one exercise of battements tendus back to the barre, front camera, bare feet
  *one barre filmed from profile with pliés, battements tendus, jetés, fondus, adage and grands battements
  *center exercises : Adage, pirouettes, grandes pirouettes (according to level), tombés balancés and tombés pas de bourrés exercises, small, medium and big jumps, plus pointes exercises for girls
  *a variation/choreography (according to student level)
- a video link with contemporary extract. If you do not practice contemporary dance, please indicate it in the application form in the “additional commentary” section.
Total video duration must not exceed: 15 minutes

A few guidelines before you apply for Short courses:
Gather all documentation before accessing to the platform
Use a computer rather than a mobile phone or a tablet
For video: maximum 5 links, we request direct link (Youtube or Vimeo for example). We won't accept video if we need to download video or with request of authorization. We ask you to indicate password if necessary.

Applications will be processed as they are received, and a response will be sent within 30 days after the file has been validated.
Each applicant will first receive an acknowledgement of receipt by e-mail. A second e-mail will then indicate whether the application is complete or incomplete, as well as any missing documents that need to be provided.
Applications that are not updated or completed within seven days after the registration deadline will not be considered.
The selection process will end once the course is full.
