Nijinski > Marco Goecke

Gauthier Dance - Dance Company Theaterhaus Stuttgart

Haunted by the memory of Nijinsky, like many choreographers before him, Marco Goecke (the brain behind the incredible Specter of the Rose for the Ballets de Monte-Carlo) is back with a gorgeous piece inspired by one of the 20th century's greatest performers. Once again, Marco Goecke's creativity, minimalist vocabulary, vibrant style and focus on light and shadow dazzle. Since its premiere in June 2016, this powerful biopic so beautifully performed by the Gauthier Dance//Dance Company Theaterhaus Stuttgart has been met with standing ovations time and time again. The Monaco Dance Forum is delighted to be showcasing the latest offering by a choreographer it has been following for over a decade now, and who was awarded its 'Nijinsky' Prize for best emerging choreographer back in 2006!
