Presentation of the 2026-2027 Season
This season, Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo offer you the opportunity to (re)discover a few gems from its repertoire, which to date has nearly 180 ballets, created over 40 seasons. The repertoire will be further enriched this year with two new pieces as part of an unprecedented Bartok evening: a new version of my Marvellous Mandarin and Alexei Ratmansky's The Wooden Prince. Among the pieces presented, you will also be able to see recent ones that have filled theatres and had to be reprogrammed so that as many people as possible can enjoy them. This is the case for Bronia by the Kor'sia company, Ma Bayadère and See You by Paul Lightfoot. To these pieces will be added iconic works that have contributed to forging the identity of La Compagnie: Altro Canto as well as Violin Concerto. Three of my narrative ballets will be performed in the setting of the Salle Garnier of l'Opéra de Monte-Carlo. Some were born there such as Roméo et Juliette, which will celebrate its 30th birthday this year, as well as Cendrillon. La Mégère apprivoisée will be performed there for the first time. No doubt Katarina and Petrucchio's loves will be all the more flamboyant.
Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo is also l’Académie Princesse Grace which will showcase the talent of its students during its traditional Gala, as well as the Monaco Dance Forum which, this year, has prepared an anthology of shows bringing together the best of choreographic creation: the Indian dance of Aakash Odedra, the inclusive dance of Cécile Martinez, the intact excellence of the WINNDance collective bringing together former soloists and Étoiles or the category-defying flamenco of Israel Galván. This year, Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo are also proud to highlight the work done by its educational hub which, through the Choré- Voix project, will be involved in the opening ceremony of the Games of the Small States of Europe, the next edition of which will take place in Monaco. Workshops, Master Classes, film screenings, performances at the museum and Imprévus à l'Atelier will enrich this already dense programme.
While Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo will be particularly present in the Principality this year, fine tours await the Company again throughout the world, allowing us to play the role that is close to our hearts as cultural ambassadors of the Principality. I’ll meet you from October to kick off this season. See you soon!
