Oskar | KYLIAN

As part of the 30th Anniversary of Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, Jean-Christophe Maillot asked Jirí Kylián who became a close friend of the company across the years to imagine a whole evening reflecting his own image. In order to celebrate these thirty years in an original way, Jirí Kylián created Oskar, one of his « specials for an occasion » only him holds the secret of. Oskar is a 4 minute film featuring exclusive performing artists who are no less than Jean-Christophe Maillot, Choreographer-Director of Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, Bernice Coppieters, the company's emblematic "Etoile" Star Dancer and … their famous dog, Oskar. Alice Blangero, the company's photographer was able to follow the rehearsals and the film shooting. This album is a memorable record in still pictures.

The film was screened for the first time on April 28th, 2016 at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.
