Aleatorio

J-Ch. Maillot

In this “carnal” soiree, where femininity, masculinity and attempts at reciprocal domestication have a central place, Jean-Christophe Maillot expresses both his interest in the theme of love and his boundless admiration for classical dancers’ bodies. Curves, lines, hands and points punctuate a sensuous entrancing form of dance, although the choreographer in no way eludes the complexity, or the extreme brutality of the male-female relationship. This is at the heart of this soiree where spectators can appreciate this sublime company’s manifest beauty.
