Berlin, 1931. As the Nazis begin their ascent to power, a carefree crowd embarks on a mission to have as much fun as possible, whatever the cost, gathering every night at the famous Kit Kat Klub, home to the talented and eccentric cabaret performer Sally Bowles. Whilst waiting for her lucky break, the ambitious and vivacious ingénue lives in a boarding house. One day, young Englishman and language teacher Brian Roberts moves in, and the young couple fall in love amidst the merry mayhem that masks the rumbling threat of trouble on the horizon.
